Czech Crystal Works Bohemian Crystal History

Czech Crystal Works Corporation was founded by Thomas and Lucie Brotanek on July 18th, 2001. The company first opened its doors to business at the the Franklin Antique Center (Store #42) in the rivertown of Nyack, New York and added a web storefront (www.czechcrystalworks.com) shortly thereafter. Thomas and Lucie formed an alliance with Bohemian Crystal artisan Mr. Pavel Makalous and imported a multitude of different czech crystal pieces ranging from: bohemian crystal vases, bohemian crystal trays to bohemian crystal bowls. Vladimir Brotanek, a company officer and father of Thomas, managed the day-to-day operation of the store in Nyack until January 2003. Czech Crystal Works Corporation then decided to specialize in web based sales in order to reduce the cost of its products for its customers and the Nyack store was closed. This was just the beginning as now Czech Crystal Works Corporation is the main retailer of Bohemian Crystal Products in the United States under Vladimir's leadership.
